DIA-based phosphoproteomics identifies early phosphorylation events in response to EGTA and mannitol in Arabidopsis

Osmotic stress significantly hampers plant growth and crop yields, emphasizing the need for a thorough comprehension of the underlying molecular responses. Previous research has demonstrated that osmotic stress rapidly induces calcium influx and signaling, along with the activation of a specific subset of protein kinases, notably the Raf-SnRK2 kinase cascades within minutes.

KLHL17 differentially controls the expression of AMPA- and KA-type glutamate receptors to regulate dendritic spine enlargement

Kelch-like family member 17 (KLHL17), an actin-associated adaptor protein, is linked to neurological disorders, including infantile spasms and autism spectrum disorders. The key morphological feature of Klhl17-deficient neurons is impaired dendritic spine enlargement, resulting in the amplitude of calcium events being increased.

SCUBE2 regulates adherens junction dynamics and vascular barrier function during inflammation

SCUBE2 (Signal peptide-CUB-epidermal growth factor-like domain-containing protein 2) is a secreted or membrane-bound protein originally identified from endothelial cells (ECs).

Novel role of NCoR1 in impairing spatial memory through the mediation of a novel interacting protein DEC2

Long-term memory formation requires de novo RNA and protein synthesis. Using differential display PCR, we found that the NCoR1 cDNA fragment is differentially expressed between fast learners and slow learners, with fast learners showing a lower expression level than slow learners in the water maze learning task.

Structural basis for recruitment of peptidoglycan endopeptidase MepS by lipoprotein NlpI

Peptidoglycan (PG) sacculi surround the cytoplasmic membrane, maintaining cell integrity by withstanding internal turgor pressure.

Syngeneic natural killer cell therapy activates dendritic and T cells in metastatic lungs and effectively treat low-burden metastases

Natural killer (NK) cells control metastasis, however, the mechanisms are not fully understood. Dr. Nan-Shih Liao”s group established a spontaneous breast cancer metastasis and primary tumor resection mouse model that mimics recurrence in patients after resection.

Epitranscriptomic cytidine methylation of the hepatitis B viral RNA is essential for viral reverse transcription and particle production

Epitranscriptomic RNA modifications have emerged as important regulators of the fate and function of viral RNAs. One prominent modification, the cytidine methylation 5-methylcytidine (m5C), is found on the RNA of HIV-1, where m5C enhances the translation of HIV-1 RNA.
