Evolution of Web Frameworks

Web framework is a software framework designed to support the development of web sites and applications. They provide a standard way to build and deploy web applications and provide software tools to automate the overhead associated with common activities performed in web development such as database access, user management, access control, session management, etc.

Important Research

Chloroplast import motor subunits FtsHi1 and FtsHi2 are located on opposite sides of the inner envelope membrane

Protein import into chloroplasts is powered by ATP hydrolysis in the stroma. Establishing the identity and functional mechanism of the stromal ATPase motor that drives import is critical for understanding chloroplast biogenesis.

Gene co-option, duplication and divergence of cement proteins underpin the evolution of bioadhesives across barnacle life histories

As a group of sessile crustaceans, barnacles establish permanent attachment through initial cement secretion at the larval phase followed by continuous cement secretion in juveniles and adults. However, the origins and evolution of barnacle larval and adult cement proteins remain poorly understood.

AHL10 phosphorylation mediates RRP6L1 chromatin recruitment.

Previous research in the Verslues laboratory found that phosphorylation of the AT-Hook Like 10 (AHL10), a DNA-binding protein of unclear function, suppresses growth during moderate severity drought stress.

A leaf-derived mobile mRNA specifies floral meristem development

Many mobile mRNAs are synthesized in the source cells, but specifically exert their functions in the recipient cells. How plants avoid ectopic functions of mobile mRNAs in the source cells remains to be elucidated.
