Pulmonary fibroblast-derived stem cell factor promotes neutrophilic asthma by augmenting IL-17A production from ILC3s

Group 3 innate lymphoid cells (ILC3s) have emerged as an important player in the pathogenesis of neutrophilic asthma. Here, we demonstrated that stem cell factor (SCF) expression is significantly increased and positively correlated with IL-17A and MPO expression in asthmatic patients. Notably, we identified ILC3 as a major IL-17A-producing responder to SCF in lung.

Targeting SARS-CoV-2 RNA-dependent RNA polymerase with the coumarin derivative BPR2-D2: Evidence from cell-based and enzymatic studies

In this study, we found that BPR2-D2 exhibits potent antiviral activity against multiple SARS-CoV-2 variants, including several variants of concern, at nanomolar concentrations. Notably, BPR2-D2 effectively disrupted viral RNA and protein synthesis in infected cells while mitigating pro-inflammatory cytokines triggered by viral replication.

Lycium barbarum polysaccharides maintain mouse sperm capacitation via modulating posttranslational signals of GSK-3 phosphorylation

The aim of this study was to investigate glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK-3) phosphorylation involving sperm capacitation and the mechanisms by which L. barbarum polysaccharide (LBP) mixtures protect sperm.

L2201 Napier Grass: A Cold-Resilient Line for Sustainable Bioenergy and Carbon Sequestration

L2201 breaks through this constraint, extending productivity into cooler months, demonstrated by its superior winter biomass, photosynthetic resilience, and cell wall robustness.
