微型胜肽Sertm2:揭示運動神經元多樣性的新關鍵
 
本院分子生物研究所陳俊安研究員團隊近日發現,過去被視為「無編碼功能」的長鏈非編碼RNA(lncRNA),實際上,可編碼出一段具有重要功能的微型胜肽—Sertm2。這項研究顛覆傳統對非編碼RNA的認知,揭示微型胜肽在脊髓運動神經元發育中的關鍵角色。
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
漸凍症研究新發現:調控RNA修飾的化學標記,延緩運動神經細胞退化
 
本院分子生物學研究所陳俊安研究員所領導的研究團隊,近日發表關於漸凍症(肌萎縮性脊髓側索硬化症,amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, ALS)的最新研究成果。研究團隊發現透過調控RNA上的化學標記─ m6A,能有效延緩運動神經細胞退化,不僅能改善漸凍症小鼠的運動能力,還延長了他們的壽命。此研究將可望為ALS的治療和早期診斷開闢新契機,未來若能研發安全有效的m6A調節藥物,將有機會為ALS患者帶來新的希望。
