The cerebellum shapes motions by encoding motor frequencies with precision and cross-individual uniformity

Understanding brain behaviour encoding or designing neuroprosthetics requires identifying precise, consistent neural algorithms across individuals. Our findings reveal a cerebellar algorithm for motor kinematics with precision and uniformity, the mathematical foundation for a brain-computer interface for motor control.

Nocardia genomes are a large reservoir of diverse gene content, biosynthetic gene clusters, and species-specific genes

This study exemplifies how genome mining can illuminate the ecological and clinical significance of microbial diversity.

Structure and infection dynamics of mycobacteriophage Bxb1

Mycobacteriophages show considerable potential as therapies for Mycobacterium infections, but little is known about the structural details of these phages or how they bind to and traverse the complex Mycobacterium cell wall. Here, we report the complete structure and atomic model of phage Bxb1, including the arrangement of immunodominant domains of both the capsid and tail tube subunits, as well as the assembly of the protein subunits in the tail-tip complex. cytoplasm.

MiR-34 at the crossroads of SMA pathogenesis and therapy: Emerging biomarker and therapeutic target

Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) remains a devastating genetic disorder and the leading cause of infant mortality. It is linked to functional loss of the survival motor neuron 1 (SMN1) gene. Restoration of SMN1 protein levels through antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) therapies or gene replacement has dramatically altered the therapeutic landscape.

An interbacterial cysteine protease toxin inhibits cell growth by targeting type II DNA topoisomerases GyrB and ParE

Our findings unveil a unique mode of interbacterial intoxication and provide insights into how bacteria protect themselves from self-poisoning by protease toxins.
